We are a Canadian film production company specializing in feature films. At Neon Candy Productions we create and produce films that are edgy, thought-provoking and noteworthy. Our goal is to entice and entertain while we bring these epic must-be-told stories to festivals and the big screen coming soon in 2018.
Courtney Paige is an actress and writer born on August 5th in the sunny Okanagan ( Kelowna, BC. Canada). She fell utterly in love with performing at a young age and wrote her first short film at the age of nine. By the time Courtney was eleven, she joined the Kelowna Community Theatre Company. Paige went on as a horseback trick rider, dancer, drama student, and coached high school and CJFL cheerleading. In 2007, she was crowned "Miss BC Interior," and helped raise money for the BC Children's Hospital and other charitable events. Courtney went on to be a teacher, then soon realized the only career she could imagine herself in would be one in the entertainment industry. In 2010, Paige moved to Vancouver, BC where she got her acting diploma and trained with many sought after coaches for film/television. Some of Courtney's many fundamental coaches have been; Kate Twa, Larry Moss, Ben Ratner, and Michael Coleman to name a few. Courtney has since trained at the New York Film Academy and privately in Los Angels. She did stand up comedy for three years and was accepted into the Groundlings. Some of Courtney's credits include ones on the E! Network, Lifetime, Hallmark, Universal, YTV, Discovery Channel, and Movie Central. She was mentioned in Hollywood Life, Galore Magazine, and the Vancouver Sun.
Growing up on the north shore in Vancouver, Sarah Porchetta began her journey in the arts as a dancer at a very young age. As a child growing up Sarah was very active and was involved in everything from competitive swimming to girl guides. She found a passion for acting in drama class where she wrote her own play and performed it. At 16 she broke through into the modeling world after winning a competition, however her burning desire to explore the world of acting pushed her to start training in Vancouver. At age 23 she graduated with a degree in Business Administration while working full time and auditioning throughout university. Sarah booked her first notable television role on Supernatural and since then has worked for various networks such as Fox and Lifetime and more recently you can see her on Lucifer and the upcoming series Altered Carbon. Sarah is an avid animal lover, fitness fanatic and adventure enthusiast with a love for the arts. She is looking forward to working with the team to develop Neon Candy Productions and helping to bring captivating stories to the big screen. All while growing her acting career at the same time.
Melissa grew up far from the Hollywood spotlight in Calgary, Alberta, where she spent summers riding horses and mucking stalls. Early in her career, she was a PA on the hit T.V. show Everwood where she was quickly bit with the entertainment bug. Attending Vancouver Film School she was able to explore her creative side producing small projects from game design and web series to feature films. She continued to find her place in entertainment when she toured with Guns'and'Roses in 2010. As a child growing up Melissa was very active and involved in everything from water polo and swimming to animal rescue. Never really found her 'niche' she moved to Vancouver and quickly grabbed the attention of top film maker Joss Whedon who helped finance and promote the award winning film 'The Letter Carrier'. Since then Melissa has been hard at work on hit television series The Arrangement and Altered Carbon while working tirelessly on feature films Neon Candy, The Color Rose and a soon to be announced Television Series. You can often find Melissa on the beaches of Vancouver with her dog Nixx, reading, writing, and of course producing. Melissa is an avid advocate for things she believes in from LGBTQ, the environment and politics - Melissa spearheaded multiple not-for-profit organizations that reflect her many interests. She is looking forward to bringing Neon Candy to light with this female led team, captivating audiences through a different type of lens that we have become accustomed to.
